Why your shelter or rescue group should join Petfinder
Petfinder is a community of amazing people & mostly volunteers. The cumulative effect of this community has become a powerful, enabling force in the world of animal rescue. Shelters and rescue group members have reported that more than 50 percent of their adoptions are from Petfinder.
They also report that pets adopted via Petfinder are returned to the shelter less. For many organizations, this makes Petfinder THE MOST effective advertising medium. Since it is FREE, it is certainly the most valuable.

How does it work?
Using Petfinder is easy and quick! Your Petfinder account is yours to maintain. When you sign up you will get a HOME PAGE and a PET LIST. When you update your home page and pet list, the changes take effect immediately.
What if I'm an Internet klutz?
You do not have to be a technical wizard to maintain your Petfinder account. In fact, many of our most active members had never used the Internet before they joined! We have set up a very friendly system for you. We also have technical support staff who will help you if you need it.
